Welcome to another fabulous edition of Thermie Thursday. I have to apologise for a being a bit slack recently. I was all ready to post last week and then I realised I had completely missed Thursday and it was Friday already. The lead up to Christmas is getting busier by the minute and clearly I’m losing my marbles (or my days)!!!
It’s been so hot and humid of late that I’ve really struggled to get the enthusiasm for the kitchen. However, the girls and I got all chocolately last weekend and made some delicious Christmas bark. It’s seriously easy to make, and if you bag it up with some pretty red ribbon it makes the perfect gift to give to all those gorgeous Kindy teachers.
All you need is some chocolate melts (or any good melting chocolate), a bag of bright red chocolate orange jaffles, some red and green christmas M&M’s and a few sticks of candy cane. Melt the chocolate in the thermomix while the kids crush up all the candy. Give them a rolling pin and watch how much fun they have with it!! Pour the chocolate in a thin layer on a baking try lined with baking paper and then let the kids take care of the decorating. Pop it in the fridge for an hour or so to harden, then snap it up into bit size pieces.
I also made this delicious Christmas quiche, which you just have to try, and well as getting my bake on and making my Christmas cake from scratch.
In other Thermie news…….The 4 blades blog and the The road to loving your Thermomixer have launched their very first issue of The 4 blades digital magazine. This is SO exciting as they both have tonnes of the most amazing thermie recipes. The magazine is availlable on both Apple and Android devices and I can tell you first had that it’s FAB!! Here’s a little sneak peak
If you haven’t already downloaded it – go get it now!!
That’s it from me this week, but I’ll see you in TWO weeks time with lots more Christmas goodies.
Have a fabulous day.
Yum! That chocolate bark looks soooo good. I must really try and track down those festive M and Ms! Where did you find yours?
I got mine in woolies. I’m sure the check out lady must have thought I was an addict as I bought about 20 tubes, lol! xx
Love chocolate bark! I make mine with candy canes.
Love to see clever people making emagazines work. I hope it’s big success for them!
Me too. I do listen to their pod casts and love them. Very clever people xx
