mrs d christmas 2014 I’ve wanted to post this for a few days now,  but have just not felt right about it.  I’ve been glued to the media ever since I first got that txt message from Mr D that there was a siege in the centre of Sydney.  Fortunately he was not close enough to be involved and was able to get home safely later that day.

I feel so sad.  Sad that these kinds of things are STILL happening.  Sad for the poor hostages and what a terrifying day they must have had, and most of all, sad for the two people who lost their lives so unnecessarily.  One of them, a young mother with the same aged children as me.  I can’t get her out of my head.

Sydney’s strength, humility and unity has been amazing over the last few days and can be felt everywhere you go.  We are not officially Australian, but we are proud to be here.

Here is a little video I made of the awesome build up to Christmas my three children are having.  They are so blessed, we are so blessed.

I hope this brings a little smile to your face.

Thank you all so much for all your support, friendly comments and encouragement this year, it really means so much to me.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful new year.
