This is my first Wordless Wednesday post of 2015 and I’m cheating a little. I took these photos last month during the school holidays when Josh was doing a weeks ‘learn to surf’ program with Manly Surf School. I took these ones on the most spectacular day at Long Reef Beach. I was knee deep in waves (fully clothed, stupidly) and wishing that my camera was water proof so I could dive straight in like a mermaid (but no way as graceful).
I wrote about the school holiday program in the Manly Times this week if you’d like more details and information.
Would you ever like to learn how to surf?
I visited Manly for the first time a couple of weeks ago and blogged about it. LOVED IT!!!
It was quite a bit busier than your day though. Crazy ..

I love Manly too. This was actually on Long Reef beach, which is just a couple of beaches down from Manly – much quieter xx
He looks like a natural lovely – wish I was at the beach NOW!
ME TOO!!
Great photos Robyn! looks like a gorgeous day to be at the beach.
Thank you Alicia, it was so beautiful x
What awesome pics! He looks like a natural and Longreef is such a pretty spot which I only discovered relatively recently! I can barely swim, let alone surf! Can you surf? If not, now your boy can teach you!
Hahaha, I’m no sure I’m brave enough to surf or even worse let him teach me!! I do love ocean swimming though, one of my fav things to no. I much better at swimming than running xx
Great photos. My daughter is learning to surf too. She loves but we need to get a board the right size .
It’s tricky knowing which one to buy isn’t it. I’ve left that part up to my hubby xx
That water looks amazing! Such a great activity for kids. He looks like he had loads of fun x
We’re so lucky that we live where he is able to do it!! Loads of fun xx
I absolutely love your beach photos. What a gorgeous place to live (kind of like being on holidays, all the time!!)
Ah thanks lovely. And yes I do have to pinch myself sometimes – very lucky indeed x
Oh man I fist pumping the air looking at these photos as I know what you and he has been through to achieve this. SOOOOOO freaking awesome hun. High Five him for me and give him a big Yeeeeeeeeee! xx
Thanks lovely!! We were the same. I am so grateful for their patience during the lessons. His confidence has gone sky high as a result xx
What a vibrant shots! Looks like ace fun and good on him for standing up! Win!
