Last weekend we decided to have some fun with the kids at Sydney’s Olympic Park . To make it a little bit more exciting than normal we booked a family room at the Pullman Hotel for the night. Mr D has often done day trips with the kids there but I usually opt to stay at home (to enjoy the peace), so this was my first visit. I was pretty blown away by not only how HUGE it is but also by how much there is to do!! Oh and of course room service breakfast in bed was a major highlight!! Here are a few snaps for you to enjoy. Some were taken with my Canon (I’m still practising remember) and some were taken with my iphone 5.

Have you been on any “stay-cations’ just around the corner from home recently??
Oh Robyn, that first pic is absolutely stunning! Looks like a lovely weekend 🙂
Thanks honey, I really love it too xx
GORGEOUS – such lovely photos!
And without trying to sound creepy – I love that we both have a salt n’ pepper hubby!
hahaha – yes, it’s silver sparkles as my Miss H calls it. Distinguished :)) x
Beautiful photos. I love the idea of a staycation. Looks like you guys had a wonderful time.
We’ve never done one before and I think the idea is definitely a keeper. A break without going too far xx
Oh those beautiful eyes! Great photos Robyn. Love that awesome water park and what fun to be had with a skate board 🙂
Thanks honey. SO much to do there – we’ll have to go back to finish it. x
Made some great family memories
We really did. I think the kids will remember it – well the older two anyway xx
Beautiful photos!! I love how you say you’re just practising with your camera… these are stunning!!! I wish I was ‘practising’ as well as you are! xxx
Hahaha, you are too kind. I am such a fuss pot with my camera – am never happy and get so frustrated when I don’t know what I’m doing (too many buttons) xx
These are gorgeous photos Robyn that tell a story without any words needed. What a spectacular day you all had!
Thank Amanda – I love how photos can do that xx
It’s great out there isn’t it? The pictures of the kids are just gorgeous
Thanks lovely xxx
I haven’t had a Sydney staycation for far too long. Great idea to stay there as then there’s no rushing and no tired grumpy kids int he car. Bet it felt like a real break.
Exactly!! I got most of my inspiration on what to do when we got there from your blog. Thanks xx
